Jim is a native of New Orleans and lived in St. Bernard’s Parish until Hurricane Katrina flooded his home in August 2005. Jim and Pam, his wife of 9 years, evacuated to Houston before the storm hit land, packing only one week’s worth of clothing. Later on the news from a Houston hotel room, he saw video footage of his subdivision street sign almost completely underwater. Besides losing important family keepsakes, Jim was heartbroken to lose his 1966 Caprice (which he had purchased one week earlier). After visiting friends in California for a month and Hurricane Rita delaying their trip back to New Orleans, Jim and Pam decided to settle in Jackson. As the saying goes, the rest is history! Jim and some of his immediate family members now live in the Brandon and Flowood areas and have made themselves at home. Jim has worked in the auto industry all of his life and is a former ASE Certified Technician. Before coming on board at Paul Moak Honda, he worked for independent shops and serviced antique, hot rod, fleet, and passenger vehicles of all makes. Jim has two teenage daughters and in his spare time enjoys working on his 1970 442 classic car and attending car shows and car cruises. He also makes the trip “home” to New Orleans to visit family and friends.
