Honda Will Expand Ohio Manufacturing by $98 Million

If you thought Honda was done growing, you thought wrong. The auto manufacturer has announced plans to extend its plants in Russells Point and Anna, Ohio to build its next-generation transmissions. The Russells Point plant will now make a continuously variable transmission that will increase fuel economy and lower emissions, and the Anna plant will add an 84-thousand-square foot area that will make components for the new CVT. The Anna plant primarily makes engines at this point. The new transmission components are a part of Honda's new "Earth Dreams Technology."

'Matthew's Day Off': Honda Ad Preview Reaches Top Spot on the Web

This year, many automakers and manufacturers are allowing fans to preview their Super Bowl advertisements by releasing "snippets" of the full ads. Among these auto brands is Japanese auto manufacturer Honda, which has created a short ad preview that has risen to the top spot in its Super Bowl preview category within the last week. The RPA-produced spot is a "Ferris Bueller"-themed teaser, and it collected more than four million views last week.

"Venture into the unknown. Sometimes it's great not knowing where things lead. You could end up someplace amazing."1 These are just some of the compelling voice-over slogans existing on the new Honda Civic YouTube channel. This channel, located here (http://www.youtube.com/hondacivicUK), takes the user on an incredible interactive and unique journey (one might even call it an adventure) without leaving his/her computer.

Honda Fit Continues to Earn Accolades

The 2012 Honda Fit is known as an award-winning vehicle, and now the Fit has another accolade to its list. It was chosen for Consumer Reports "Best New Car Value" list. The Fit was not only chosen as the best car in its category; it was also chosen as the best value overall.

Honda to Debut New 'Earth Dreams Technology'

Okay, we admit it. When we at Paul Moak Honda first learned of Honda's new "Earth Dreams Technology," we thought the name was a little trite. The concept of "dreams" and "dreaming" is often used in the automobile industry to speak of desire for products and describe new innovations. After learning more about the new Honda technology, however, we deemed the title befitting of a revolutionary group of products that recognizes both our needs as consumers to protect the environment and the our desires to experience the true joy of taking a Sunday afternoon drive. The new group of technologies will be introduced first in the Honda N-Box and then gradually into every new Honda vehicle.

Honda Fit EV to Hit Dealerships Soon

Finally, Honda will send an practical EV (electronic vehicle) to the U.S.! The new EV version of the Honda Fit will be available for lease in select California and Oregon markets in the summer of 2012, and it will then expand to six east coast markets by early 2013. The MSRP on the new vehicle is $38,675, and the lease price is $339/month. The European production of the EV Honda Fit (or Honda Jazz as it is sold in England) has yet to be confirmed.

Honda Is The #1 Green Car

US Green Building Council executed a survey and found that Honda's Torrance, CA headquarters, along with several other facilities in the United States and Canada, are "Green Building" approved.
